Welcome to our Genealogy Search. This information is from databases supplied by the Genealogy Society(May 2000) and Fir Grove Cemetery (May 2002), and Smith-Lund-Mills is not responsible for its accuracy.

The staff at Smith-Lund-Mills is able to assist with research on deceased family members. Public records from the funeral home date back to 1906 and the cemetery public records go back to the 1800s. A searchable electronic database is available, and mail and phone queries are also invited. This service is free although Smith-Lund-Mills will accept donations in any amount to the Fir Grove Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund. Additional Geneological/ancestral information is available through the Cottage Grove Genealogical Society, a non-profit organization with a research library open to the public.

The Genealogical Society is located at: 207 H Street (Corner of Birch), PO Box 388, Cottage Grove, OR 97424. The library research hours are: Wednesday through Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m.; Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.; and other hours by request. The Cottage Grove Genealogical Society library contains more than 3,000 books, Microfiche and CDs and has numerous publications for sale. Volunteer Society members will conduct research for a nominal $7.50 per hour with all proceeds going to support the Cottage Grove Genealogical Society.
